The cold environment will subject the light fixture to a lot of mechanical damage, so it should be designed with this in mind. LED walk-in cooler lights should also withstand electromagnetic interference while working.

All LED light fixtures for use in cold rooms should emit very little heat. They must work correctly in the low-temperature environment and should achieve an average of 150 lux.
